Neima Abdulahi, based in Atlanta, GA, is an award-winning television journalist, national TV host, executive producer, documentarian, and creative writer. With a passion for storytelling rooted in culture and authenticity, Neima spent the past decade telling thousands of impactful stories. She’s worked with major media brands such as VH1, Apple Music, MTV, NBC Atlanta, Fox TV, VIBE Magazine, Will Packer Productions, Tubi, Debmar-Mercury, and more.

Neima is a dynamic and influential creative architect who carved out a niche style of storytelling that intersects culture, social justice, hip-hop, and entertainment. She’s received 12 Emmy nominations, an Edward R. Murrow Award, a Gracie Award, and multiple accolades from the Atlanta Press Club, RTDNA, and the National Association of Black Journalists. 

Neima recently served as a Senior Culture Journalist and Executive Producer of Cultural Special Projects at NBC Atlanta. Throughout her career, she’s held various editorial roles with many media companies; including host & executive producer (NBC Atlanta), global host & senior producer (Revolt TV), storytelling consultant & talent producer (Apple Music), digital content creator (VIBE Magazine), TV correspondent (VH1, Will Packer/Debmar-Mercury), contributing writer (MTV) multimedia journalist (FOX TV), and more. She’s interviewed a long list of newsmakers; including Ava DuVernay, Killer Mike, T.I. Tyler Perry, Charlamagne Tha God, and the list goes on. 

Neima is also a respected public speaker, having been booked by CNN and other major brands like the Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation and Steve Stoute’s UnitedMasters Conference to share her insight on cultural topics.

Born in Somalia, Neima moved to Atlanta at a young age, where she discovered her passion for storytelling through the city’s vibrant diversity. Overall, she is respected for her unique storytelling approaches that can be seen and felt in her productions and in the communities that she shines a light on. She takes pride in being the first ripple that inspires necessary shifts in perspectives and conversations.

Neima earned a Master’s Degree from Syracuse University in the Media Management specialization through the M.S. in Communications program. She is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists and the distinguished Emma Bowen Foundation.
